This 4-12 cabinet consists of a brand new pre-built carpeted box and a new set of MCM Audio Select 12" aluminum cone speakers that I'm told are made by the same outsource mfr. who makes Hartke's 10" drivers. Each one is rated at 70W/RMS - 100W/PEAK @ 8 ohm (total 200W/PEAK wired @ 4 ohms/ times 4), 32~8000 Hz, 92db SPL with a 1.5" voice coil and 20 oz. magnet. I had originally planned this to be a guitar cabinet, and it works great with a Marshall head, but after using it under a 400 watt EV 2-10" in place of my single 18" EV I'm convinced it's best utilized as a bass cabinet. I didn't try all 3 cabinets together for fear of blowing the Carvin 1000W tube head (I already fried it once with a Peavey stack). For a sealed box it puts out lows very close to my 18" vented EV box. It could probably use a set of wheels, but I left them off to cut the costs.
