Debut demo CD by Dogman, which consists of Dan Stoner, Sean Ketchum, and Big Richard's Randy Williams and Jim Weyand.
Included are four original songs as well as a faithful cover of King's X's "Pretend", and also a "bonus track" that
serves as a "tip o' the hat" to old friends Mike and Jake Williams from Mike & Company. It was recorded
at CopperMine Studio in Quincy, IL under the guidance and tutelage of producer/ engineer/ guitarist and all-around good guy Alan Lawless in March
of 2002. The combined writing style of Dogman's members remains consistent in feel and execution, yet is diverse in category as these songs
move from the friendly pop feel of "Cocaine Jack" to the melancholy ballad "Set Yourself Free" to the metal-esque bottom-ended "See Me" and the progressive groove flavorings of
"Spellbound". The recording itself is fat and punchy, with a very "natural" sonic quality (no sampling here kids). All in all a well-rounded demo that I was personally
very proud to be part of (thanks guys!). jw
