We are sad to announce that after 29 years of service, the Hoop-n-Wink Restaurant will close its doors on Halloween 2012. Due to a number of economic factors, it is no longer possible to remain open for business. We thank everyone for their support over the last 3 decades, and will miss not only your patronage, but your friendship. A special thanks to Sherri Thomas, whom without it would not have been possible for us to serve the community for a generation. Again, thanks for a great 29 years and for the many friendships that will last a lifetime.
The Hoop 'n Wink restaurant is located on Highway 96 just North of Quincy, IL in Ursa, IL. It was named after Hoopie & Gwen Watkins in 1985 and is currently managed by daughter Susan Weyand and long time friend Sherri Thomas. It's history goes back several generations and is still a favorite gathering place for folks who live and work in the Ursa area, as well as being a popular stop for those just passing through. Also, a clean relaxed atmosphere combined with good homestyle meals at a very fair price and friendly service make the Hoop 'n Wink worth the extra drive for folks outside the area. Their regular hours are 6:00 am to 2:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
