Slink Rand is a household word among the musical community throughout the Midwest. Wherever you go, Oh Yeah!
Some of his recording stays have included sessions in Memphis, Tennessee, at the Beautiful Sounds Studio on the Ilmo Smokehouse Album. This recording was released in 1971 and picked up by Roulette Records. It received a very favorable review in Billboard Magazine.
Slink moved on and formed the Champaign, IL. based band called The Slink Rand Group. That band recorded on the Pointy Feet Beat Album. Being one of the most sought after groups in the Midwest they played 326 jobs in one of their many years in existence.
Prairie Sun Entertainment Magazine voted the Slink Rand Group the number One Rock Artist of the Midwest.
Playing and recording to the present day he has performed in concerts with: Ted Nugent, Cheap Trick, Michael Murphy, The Cryin’ Shames, REO Speedwagon, Headeast, Sugarloaf, B.B. King, Luther Allison, Manfred Mann, The Runaways (Joan Jet & Lita Ford), Pat Travers, Big Brother and the Holding Company, The Average White Band, Starz, Detroit, Black Oak Arkansas and the list goes on.
